    Musical Toys

Musical instruments are really fun toys for kids - and also adults. I mean, look at a drum machine, for instance, or a guitar with a fuzzbox. Wow! I can play those all day - even at my age! Anyway, some other musical toys would be karaoke machines and also music related computer programs.

    Toys vs Video Games

Which ones do kids like more? To me, a video game is the ultimate toy. In fact, few toys can beat it. However, though, I could be mislead. I mean, I used to really get into make-believe towns and people when I was a kid, and, aside from SIMS maybe, a video game cannot replicate it.

Mister Rogers has his own Funko Pop!

Actually, if it's in anyone's interest, there is also a Mr. Rogers movie coming out. It's starring Tom Hanks. Anyway, I bet the movie is also motivation for the Funko toy. It might even be the primary one.

What make you motivate to have toys?

I'm drawn toward video games and I view them as toys. Note, the attraction is mainly because I find them incredibly fun, though, not as a much a child. However, I would like gaming more if I dedicated more time to it, but instead, I'm usually working or engaged in another hobby.

    Nightmares from Toys

When I was a small child, I would have dreams about mannequins in department stores chasing me, wanting to kill me. However, though, I never got that vibe with other toys. There weren't any Chucky doll type things. Anyway, how about you all? Any creepy toys that bothered you?

Did anyone like toys that don't seem like toys?

I enjoyed turning lights on and off when I was a smaller child. I don't know why. It just seemed to fascinate me. However, it was only those switches where you can gradually make the light dim or bright.

What are your favorite toy movies/shows?

One of the biggest which comes to mind is Toy Story. Others I researched were Toys, Small Soldiers, among others. Well, anyway, I never really liked kid's movies about toys. Nonetheless, I never really tried to watch them and Toy Story came after my childhood.

    Toy Collection

Does anyone have one now or as a youth? How much did it cost? When did you start building it? What are some other interesting facts?

Kids and Toys - Being Safe

Well, honestly, I was a kid. I probably played with toys with small parts. However, I still am worried about my own (possible) future kids. Nonetheless, it's impossible to watch them always - so I guess that's where some religious faith comes in.

Are you picky with your kids's toys?

Some parents might monitor them, you know like they would with video games or music. However, though, are there really any toys that are a bad influence? Are there some too violent or perhaps encourage what some consider immoral behavior? Well, I'm sure some religious people would object to...

    Board Games

These things I'm sure were massively more popular before the rise of video games. Would you consider them a toy? Well, anyway, I don't think they've totally gone extinct. There is still a huge market.

Did anyone like toys that don't seem like toys?

When I was a kid (in the 80s), a radio with a cassette player and microphone was one of the most fun things I owned. I liked to record a cassette with radio music in the background and my voice. In other words, it was a play radio station.

Are you not ashamed playing toys even if you're already grown-up now?

As I was saying, a lot of hobbies have taken the place of toys and there is no shame in them. However, though, actually playing with toy houses, action figures etc. is normally unappealing to an adult and I think it's natural. Why do you think that's so? Does anyone think it's the conditioning...

Do you like to buy toys online?

Some might like the simple enjoyment of browsing a toy shop. However, though, as with the case of Toys-r-us, the trend is online with stores closing. Anyway, though, sometimes stores don't have what you need - but you can be sure that online will.

    Video Games as a Toy

Video games are pretty much toys for all ages. In fact, there are some who say adults shouldn't play video games cause they're supposedly childish. However, though, I think such a view is rather narrow-minded. Anyway, the idea only kids play video games is becoming less that case as time goes...

    Toys... the benefit of playing.

I think playing is hard-wired into kids. Nonetheless, adults enjoy playing just as much - though it might be expressed differently. As I was saying in a few other threads, I like computer 3D art which - honestly, is just grown-up playing - and on top of that, I like web development, which often...

Kids and Toys - Being Safe

As many know, a lot of toys have small parts which aren't safe for kids. However, though, being human, we might ignore safety precautions and common sense. How about you? Myself, I'd be sort of terrified to have kids - mainly because I might forget to watch things (roads, toys, kidnappers etc..).

    Making Your Own Toys

When I think of this, it reminds me of Santa's elves. , but anyway, I'm sure it's something a lot of people are into. Has anyone tried it? Myself, I simply don't have the talent or interest. However, as I mentioned in other threads, I do enjoy creating 3D computer art - which is sort...

Can animal toys be cool for an adult male?

I'm thinking some dinosaur stuff could spruce up a place. Anyway, while I may not enjoy animal toys, cuddly or not, I do enjoy 3D art models. But it isn't the same for some reason. Oh, by the way, is anyone here into non-cuddly toys of any sort?
