There are advantages and disadvantages in buying online than buying in a physical store. If you are going to buy on online, you can't see its eligibility or even run a test if the toys are working but there are times that buying it on online can give you discounts since they always have promos.

Same here. I've gotten nice discounts while shopping online. Toys just always feel welcome no matter what season you're giving it. They're great for family and friends. I mostly gift to little kids.

I haven't tried buying toys online, I prefer that I could check the actual item first before buying it to check if the item is actually in good condition no missing parts and limits the hassle of being scammed. also I often find the online purchased toys are often expensive the actually buying from a toy stores.

This is true in some cases. Maybe the shipping fee and availability of the item adds to the cost. If you're looking for quality items, it's better to see them for yourself in toy shops.

Discounts that we get from getting toys online are always huge and I know that it is all because of the way they try to market the products that they sell. I don't see anything wrong with that as long as you yet the toys that you want from the online stores.

Same. I mostly get mine delivered on time. And they're seldom defective since I choose the products and sellers well before buying. Always choose the most reliable sellers when buying online.

Oh, I see. Well, that does happen. I'd probably consider buying sturdier toys instead of the fancy ones for kids to play with. Is it just me or do more adults own fancy collector's items than actual children? :D

Lol, definitely, kids in general don't appreciate the value of collection and just use toys as tools for their imagination. They also aren't fond of too many characters yet from movies or TV shows or books so they don't get attached to the more popular characters who have their own collector's items.

That's right, and aside from their feelings, you also glad and happy that this cheaper toys online looks expensive for them. LOL. You save time and money while you doing your things inside your room.

I don’t like buying toys online. The sellers sometimes don’t show the exact size and condition of toys so i end up paying extra for toys who have smaller value.

I have bought toys for my nephew, nice, and son, however, I have never bought toys online, I always buy from the local store. One of the reasons why I have not bought online is the problem with the payment system. My debit/credit cards are local only. I cannot use it for international transaction. I can use it to buy from a local online store but the local online stores have an expensive price. I am thinking to have a hatchimal for my child and this time I ill try to buy online.

It's funny that adults better appreciate collections. Considering that most action figures and whatnot are made for kids. You kind of wonder how most people play with them. Though, collectors probably don't play with them just like the target consumers. :D

I know, right? Some toys look expensive despite their affordable price. And it really helps that you get nice discounts while buying them online.

I've had this as well. It's not nice to discover that the toys are smaller than you expected. Sometimes sellers do this on purpose. They shouldn't play with customers' expectations.

High five! I've had the same issue. Not everyone has a convenient international card for buying toys abroad. So your best bet is to find something similar in local stores. But sometimes you get lucky and find that they actually have the toys you're looking for.

I buy a lot of things online and I don't see anything wrong with it. It's actually a novel thing when one can browse so many choices and categories of toys and buy it right there and then. But we have to be cautious at times because there are cases when a product can be misrepresented. Like the toy may look big but is actually small; or look sturdy but really of inferior material once it's delivered. Double checking the item by reading customer reviews or watching a YouTube demo can also be very helpful.

That's what I usually do. I check blog and Youtube reviews online. Another way is to check the product reviews. That's why I mostly buy from products that have lots of positive feedback.

yup not to mention how the courier handles your item, I mean some courier don't really care how to handle things, worst possible scenario is that your item would be badly bruise, bend and broken, other than that you don't know if the seller really intended to give you a broken, bent item. unlike if you buy it personally you know that it is in good condition and you can easily swap if you find that the quality of the item doesn't meet your standards.

Buying online is too risky for me. I'm not saying that I dont trust online stores but somes stores respond poorly specially in returning damage item. So I prefer visiting stores personally so I can check which is the good one.

That's right. It's very logical of us to consider buying in physical stores. That's one of the biggest drawbacks to ordering online. The courier can cause you problems if your items aren't handled well.

Your fear is totally understandable. There are lots of drawbacks to buying stuff online. It depends on how we make the most out of it on whether we'll get hassle free transactions.

When it comes to buying toys online, the inventory is larger and much more diverse and accessible. But in my opinion, you're also dealing with the risks of cyber fraud, delivery delays or shipping errors. Not to mention the tangible, you can’t physically inspect the toy, so there’s a risk it may not be exactly what you imagined.

I experienced it twice that's why I didn't do it again. Maybe someday I'll try again.
