With Avengers: Doomsday hitting theaters on December 18, Funko has revealed the first wave of tie-in Pop! figures (announced around October 5). The headline piece is a Lord Doom figure showing Victor Von Doom in Latverian regalia - presumably the pre-villain era the trailers hint at. There is also a Doctor Doom bundled with young Franklin Richards, which has people speculating about plot details.
The X-Men finally join the MCU lineup in Pop form: five characters connected to the original Fox trilogy era, standing 3.8 to 4.8 inches, retailing at $14.99 each. Also revealed are a Fantastic Four Jump Jet vehicle, a Shang-Chi figure using the Ten Rings, and Steve Rogers wielding Mjolnir. A Bitty Pop wave for the film is coming too.
Pre-orders are open at the usual retailers, and more waves are expected as the December release approaches. For MCU collectors, first-appearance figures from this movie tend to move fast once the marketing push ramps up, so it may be worth deciding early which ones you actually want. Are any of you planning to chase the X-Men debuts, or is Lord Doom the pick for you?
