Funko's September slate is a nice snapshot of where their license mix is heading, so here's a quick roundup of what has been announced or listed recently:
- The first A Court of Thorns and Roses wave opened for pre-order, with nine figures across Funko's direct offerings and retailer exclusives, including a Beast Form Tamlin with a chance at a flocked Chase. It stands out as one of Funko's first serious pushes into book-fandom territory.
- Street Fighter got a five-figure 2026 wave: Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile and Blanka.
- Warhammer 40,000 expanded with a five-character wave spanning several factions, including a web-exclusive Roboute Guilliman.
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure added Diamond Is Unbreakable characters - Josuke Higashikata, Yoshikage Kira and Koichi Hirose - plus a web-exclusive two-pack.
The pattern I keep noticing: gaming and book properties are getting full waves instead of single token figures, and web exclusives are used to spread each wave across multiple pages, which keeps collector interest (and page refreshes) going for weeks.
