Crying over broken toy

I remember when I was young I cried a lot every time my sister grabs hold of my gameboy and decides to take it away from me and play with it for a lengthy amount of time. One day, she grabbed it away from me and accidentally fell into the tub. I remember crying almost everyday for two weeks every time I remembered that it broke. The good thing that came out of this was, my sister was more careful when she handles my things and it also made her borrow things from me instead of just grabbing it.

I don't remember if I cried over a broken toy since I don't have much toys when I was young. Most probably I used my older brother's toys and whenever I borrowed his toys he went on me to get the toy back to him. It was really annoying. But, but whenever I have a favorite thing I brought or someone gave it to me then I would probably cry but not loud. Only a teary eyed.

Lucky for me, my kid sister have a different preference when it comes to toys. She prefer dolls and I'm not into dolls. I love techs, cars, guns so she hardly gets anywhere near my toys because it doesn't interest her.

So when it comes to her, my toys are practically useless to her and this means peace of mind for me as I need not worry about her touching it. But she normally makes me pain if I upset her by hiding my toys.

Older brothers sometimes behave like they are lord over the younger ones. Mine happened to behave this exact same way with his own toys without knowing he should always make the toy available for the little ones as he is now the big brother. I actually on purpose one day broke one of this car toy because he never allowed me to play with it.

When I was a kid (Grade 3), I am like your sister. I have 2 brothers and I am the only girl sibling so I also play what they play. Since we have a break game and family computer at that time, sometimes I used to get the joystick from my younger brother then he suddenly cried because i got the joystick while he was playing family computer. To my older brother I used to borrow the break game but he did not give it to me so I suddenly get it from him though he did not cry but he was murmuring like a woman and I got irritated and annoyed so I drop the break game then that was the time I saw him crying like a baby but after that I apologized to him. I am such a bad and boyish kid at those times so I used to do what they do.

Yeah! I agree with you. My mom said to me I only have one toy when I was baby (1 year old) and my brother (2 and 1/2 years old) has a lot of toys because he will not stop crying until my parents buy the toys he wants. I saw his one toy on the floor then I slowly move my arms towards the toy and I almost got the toy but my brother suddenly run and get his toy and I got angry, I am just quiet because whenever I get his toys from him he will cry and I am so annoyed, I might punch him so I am just quiet and just let him do what he want. My brother was a spoiled kid before but now he's different.

The truth is that most first child tend to have more privileges and affection then the subsequent children. It's no surprise that your older brother had a lot more toys than you ever did and it's simply because of him being the first offspring. It's just the way our parents spoils us simply because of having too much love for their children. Sometimes I did envied my elder brother back then because he literally got everything he ever wanted.

You're right! Most likely our parents spoiled them because they are the first born babies of the family. I did not envied my brother ever since. I just don't like how spoiled and selfish he was then. Thankfully he was totally changed, but my younger brother is the most spoiled among the three of us now. I understand my parents since my younger brother has scoliosis so he has to limit physical activities and my parents should give their attention to my younger brother. I also understand my brother but there are times that he teases me and he don't let me use his computer which is so annoying. Even if that so, I still love them both. Sometimes they treated me like a princess especially when there was time I was so broke and my ex did not contact me anymore, they cared so much for me and it was such an overwhelmed feeling. How many sibling are there in your family?

When I look back at my childhood days and memories, I would just be laughing myself out remembering all the silly things one used to do back in those days. I wonder if anyone else was exhibiting this behavior of crying so hard whenever he or she had his toy broken? There was a time I literally cried for a whole day because of my broken toy. I would sleep and wake up to crying over again.
I think that every kid in the world was guilty of this act because speaking from my perspective very much guilty of this behavior. I wouldn't actually stop crying if anyone took my toy not even my siblings are allowed to have my toys. This is just a normal behavior for kids and it's now in my adult age that I deduced that because it's still happening with my own kids now.

Yes, we tend to be selfish when were still kids and doesn't know how to distinguish attitude as long as we enjoy what we have before. Kids doesn't have any idea or still don't understand the difference of what's good and bad. Kids only think of their happiness thru those toys they have. They will just realize when they grow older that crying over the broken toy was such a disgusting, annoying and childish act. It's pretty normal for us folks.

yes, I guess when I was young I'd cry over my broken toy because I am such a crybaby before. I even cried in the mall because I wanted my parents to buy me a piano. but now, I do get angry whenever someone touches my collection of gundam model.

I am so guilty. I did this not just for a broken toy. I can still remember that I cried all night because my father hid a toy because they could not stop me from playing and it was dinner time. I cried so hard even while eating. And guess what, I had not gotten the toy back until weeks later. Hahaha. I have a lot more to share about my crying scenes but they're just too many to tell. LOL.

We are 3 in my family and I'm the oldest. Being the first son was a real privilege for me because my parents were so overwhelmed to have me and they made lots of provisions for me to have a better life and an enjoyable livelihood. My 2 subsequent siblings practically made use of all the toys that were bought for me especially the ones I didn't manage to destroy or damage. I was a rough kid by then.

When Iook back and remember some of the things that I did when I was a little kid, especially when it comes to tantrum, I knew that I was one hell of a kid full of trouble for both my parents and neighbor's kids. I was so troublesome that looking for issues wasn't a problem for me. I practically fought all day with my peer groups. I just hope that my son doesn't pick up my childhood character.

The first thing that was probably broken among my possessions when I was a child was my slippers. This is not just some fancy or being whimsical because my Japanese slippers snapped and I couldn't play. But kids at play do not cry in the middle of any game. They may shout, " time out, my slippers are broken!" and that's a valid reason for the game to stop for a while. I must have fixed my slippers for probably a hundred times, in various ways: tying a string, inserting a nail, melting the rubber end, etc. The thing is, I didn't cry . I fixed it and more so with my toys, especially my bikes.

There is no way of us telling that we were being annoying with our childhood tantrum especially when it comes to our attachment to our toys and not willing to share. It's only now that we grow up and realize that we were just being silly back then and do hope our own kids don't follow in our childhood footsteps.

Our attachment and connection to our toys is the reason why we throw up serious tantrum when someone tries to take our toys or when we dotted on any toy at the shopping mall but our parents refuse to buy it for us, we would practically be heartbroken so much that we would cry all day and even refuse to eat. This is one hell of children behavior and attitude because as a parent now, I can easily say that it's highly annoying.

Haha, I believe every kid out there in the world today who is an adult was guilty of this particular act of crying over toy when it gets hidden by their parents because they refuse to go to bed as they wanted to play more, thereby staying awake too long and becoming too much stress to the parents.

If you had the skills to fix your toys when you were still a kid, it means that you had one hell of a super brains. All I ever did during my childhood was cry like a spoiled brat with my mouth wide open and screaming on top of my voice especially when it's another person that broke my toy.
